Postdoctoral Research Awards

The National Research Council is sponsoring a number of awards for postdoctoral researchers at federal laboratories. These awards provide generous stipends ($36,000 - $61,000), and the opportunity to do independent research in some of the best-equipped and staffed laboratories in the country. For further information and application materials, prospective applicants should visit the Research Associateship Programs Web site at www.nationalacademies.org/rap. There will be four review cycles in 2003 with deadline dates of February 1, May 1, August 1, and November 1. Applicants should begin a dialog with prospective advisors at the lab as early as possible, before their anticipated application deadline.
